I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I received my master’s degree in clinical psychology from Roosevelt University and my undergraduate degree in psychology from DePaul University in Chicago.
I have worked with children, adolescents, women and young adults. My experience includes working in not-for-profit facilities, hospitals, and private counseling settings, both inpatient, and outpatient. Over the years, I have come to find working with school aged children, teenagers and young adults most rewarding.
As a therapist, the most exciting part of my work is helping my clients through the stressors that make their growth seem overwhelming. I see my job as being there to help them navigate through those challenges and gain greater insight in building a stronger sense of self. In my work I incorporate various techniques including cognitive behavioral, humanistic and psychodynamic approaches.
In addition to working at Tompkins and Associates, I work at Edward-Elmhurst Behavioral Health as a Behavioral Health specialist. My personal interests including fitness, such as boxing and running, going to movies, spending time with f family and friends, and best of all, being a mother to my young son.
