Jaclyn Hoffmeister, Psy.D., NCSP, is both a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families. As Director of Assessment Services, she has extensive training working with youth, ages 2-25, providing comprehensive psychological and psycho-educational assessments.

Dr. Hoffmeister is highly trained in assessment services with a specialty in early childhood assessments for children as young as two. She also commonly assesses neuropsychological and neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disorders, developmental delays, and social-emotional-behavioral concerns. Dr. Hoffmeister works closely with parents to ensure that their child’s needs are met in the educational setting. She provides parent coaching services as well as support through the stressful process of navigating the IEP and 504 Plan process.

Dr. Hoffmeister strives to help families overcome the emotional, behavioral, and social obstacles children often face. She practices from an integrative approach, using different evidence-based treatments to support families as they navigate these challenging dynamics. Her extensive training in educational settings affords Dr. Hoffmeister a unique perspective on the overlap of emotional and educational challenges and best practices on how to best support children in educational settings while also guiding parents in the journey of supporting their children.

Dr. Hoffmeister provides a warm and welcoming environment for children and families, and she is known for her creative therapeutic interventions rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, she commonly utilizes aspects of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, executive coaching, and social skills training within therapy sessions. She has experience working with individuals presenting with neurodivergent characteristics, anxiety, depression, and mood dysregulation disorders. She especially enjoys working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum and young children with emotional distress.

Dr. Hoffmeister is a graduate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and holds both clinical psychology and school psychology credentialing. She completed her Pre-Doctoral Internship at The LaGrange Area Department of Special Education, where she worked in various school settings providing both therapeutic and academic support. Her Postdoctoral Fellowship took place with Tompkins and Associates and has been a part of the team since.
